  1. Interesting thought. Have you read the article by Max Tegmark entitled "Parallel Universes: Not Just A Staple of Science Fiction, Other Universes Are a Direct Implication of Cosmological Observations" in the May 2003 SCIENTIFIC AMERICAN? Great aricle to get your noodle thinking. States rather matter-of-factly that present theories about parallel universes seem to be supported by empirical observation and data. Branches out to describe the three current cosmological subsets of this view of our universe/multiverse. A good read. The appropriateness of chance is astounding. Persephone
  2. Continuing the discussion on Free Masons and Illuminati and such secret groups supposed to exist. I think the real crux of all of this really boils down to the social structures of human cultures. The issue or idea of secret societies is wrought from common man (and woman's) helplessness in controlling how their societies are managed. It is a class issue. Democracy as set by the fore fathers of the USA, in their wisdom to attempt to correct the imbalance of power from the rich to the poor, or the middle class and the obscenely wealthy. Democracy as the grand experiment of these fore fathers, was set into motion to try and give all men (and woman, eventually) power to fashion their own destinies through choosing those who will govern them. Sadly, through 200 plus years, that power of the people has been eroded in ways by the governing class. But also, we have made strides in the positive as well, such as abolishment of slavery, and other human rights issues that are protections of the law. The belief in, and the concern over these secret societies is actually a concern over the lawlessness of the very wealthy, to over-ride the tenets of humanistic law made by the common people for the common people. It is our JOB as citizens to watch our leaders closely and to reach out and speak out when they are not serving the common good. That said. I also believe these societies EXIST and prosper, maybe not as systematically as people suppose, but the issue of the very wealthy also being the ones who have the power is all mixed up in the various congregations of individuals in "old boys networks" and clubs. These are the ones controlling the wealth, ergo that power surpasses the ideals of democracy. And we have let them get away with it. I think the key to fixing our dysfunctional democracy lies in getting back our free press. The giant corporations that own everything, and every one is in bed with every one else on that level, has demolished a free press. We no longer, in this age of huge communications capabilities, have a free press at the helm of major media avenues or channels. I would entertain any ideas as to how that can be accomplished. If you visit former president Bill Clinton's website, he has a some pretty good ideas how to at least correct for campaign finance reform in regards to the media. Anyways.... Also, the USA as a democracy I think is threatened by the capitalistic nature of our society. We only need to look at the examples of European democracy and how they have accommodated socialistic concepts into their visions of taking care of ourselves and our less fortunate to find good examples to follow. Anyways, that is what I think. You can't talk to much about secret societies before you begin to discuss social engineering, and long set issues of class. Personally, I think the Vatican has had and kept more scientific discoveries secret than all of the rest of the secret societies combined. Never-the-less, I reiterate that if we want to try and change all of this secretness, we need to work hard at being good citizens, and working towards a healthy democracy. Has anyone read Michael Moore's book "Stupid White Men"? The appropriateness of chance is astounding. Persephone
  3. Sometimes there is genius in madness, or madness in genius. I truly believe this, or at least that it is possible. But LOGIC must prevail when all else is said and done. Loneliness is raging lion curled at your heels In the light of mere self one can see the stars and reach the stars and touch them as friends an acquaintance in the mirrored haze will speak utter his fancy and scare the colour in drips of night challenged by the wind, the self can emerge formed but vacant of the light it seeks the truth of light the egg of thought the edges all fringed and amiss the light is secret but not whole as the yoke yellow and then the egg cracks The appropriateness of chance is astounding. 4. Hi, I am no mathematical whiz, but I couldn't help wondering when reading your posting, what the idea of this imaginary time component does to C, the constant of the speed of light. Wouldn't the premise that you have posed suggest that the speed of light is only constant from one perspective? Wouldn't the speed of light actually be variable when one considers different perspectives? You gave the example of two persons, one stationary and one moving away from the stationary individual. But what if the moving person was actually a beam of light, a laser, traveling at the speed of light. Wouldn't the 'speed of light' be measured as different velocities by the stationary person and the person who, hypothetically, is traveling on the train going 'the speed of light'. Of course, that is relativity, but please if you don't mind explaining it to me. Why is the speed of light considered a constant? It just seems to me it has to relative? I have never 'got' that in my feeble attempts to understand physics. For some reason, I understand Julian Barbour's supposition that time actually doesn't exist. That we experience reality in a way that makes us use the concept of 'time' to explain our experience. The asymmetry of time that shows it self in the 2nd Law of thermal dynamics, and entropy of heat etc. again involves our perspective, our experience of reality. But at the quantum level, which is known by us, but not directly experienced by us, defines a truer understanding of reality, in that 'spooky' state of being and not being, like Schrodinger's cat etc. In a way, your proof suggests this sort of supposition. I am not so very eloquent about all of this. So I hope you understand what I am tying to say. Maybe you have read Julian Barbour's book/s? I understand to a point what he writes about, but I have trouble putting in into words. In essence, you are stating that just existing makes us time travellers of sorts. Cool. Thanks, The appropriateness of chance is astounding. Persephone
  5. Eisenhower's Warning & The Disclosure Project The posting below was also put onto the "Alien" discussion forum. But of particular interest for this forum is that one of the basic tenets of The Disclosure Project is to bring to light energy sources that are known to exist by the witness testimony. Also, a side shoot of The Disclosure Project is SEAS, which is searching for renewable eco-friendly energy sources that can be put to the better good of humanity in this time of crisis for the stability of our world and the humanity that finds it home here. They acknowledge that previous attempts to do this have been thwarted by those who do not have the best interest of our world and all of humanity at heart. (Posting from Alien forum:) We must be vigilant citizens. Humanity's future hangs in the balance, and those of us that seek the enlightened and humanitarian goals of a better human society, must steadfastly learn and teach, and remain hopeful. The truth is the truth. We must try to shine light into the darkened corner's of our existence, in ourselves, spiritually, and as citizens of nations. The truth must prevail, and we can only count on ourselves to be the ones to bring it to light! "In the counsels of Government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the Military Industrial Complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists, and will persist. We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes. We should take nothing for granted. Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals so that security and liberty may prosper together." - President Eisenhower - January 1961 This website might be of interest to people curious about extraterrestrial intelligent life and those interested in UFOs and what the government has been hiding, and in addition, to those interested in alternate energy sources that are eco-friendly. http://www.disclosureproject.org/ It is the website for the Disclosure Project. I also rec amend purchasing and viewing the videos they offer, or the books etc. The Disclosure Project has compiled the best evidence I have yet seen for the visitation of beings not of this earth. They have hundreds of credible witness testimonies compiled from the military, aviation field, and scientists who have worked on classified government projects. In addition, The Disclosure Project announced these compiled findings at The National Press Club in 1997, and at that time debriefed the executive branch of our government and the congress to these findings. It is all very above board and credible. Surprisingly so, considering the mass media of the US barely covered the event. Also of note, I thought, was the timing of the National Press Club presentation. 1997, exactly 50 years after Roswell. Please, if you look at any website out of curiosity about such matters, this is the one to look at and tell people about! Thank you. The appropriateness of chance is astounding. Persephone

  8. What if........ What if the crash at Roswell New Mexico in July 1947 really happened. What if the government really did recover an extra-terrestrial space vehicle. What if the reports by witnesses that they handled some metallic material that had strange properties, from that crash, were really true. What if the government, or a compartmentalized small faction of the government has since taken that crash material and studied it for years, with the intention to retro-engineer the advanced technology for personal gain, for national security, for global reasons, etc. What if there was a plan, to begin to disclose this sensitive information to the public fifty years after the event. What if..... I recently read a short article in SCIENCE NEWS JOURNAL that announces a new computational methodology for discovering new alloys with pretty spectacular properties. It sort of struck me as similar to what the witnesses of Roswell described seeing and handling. Could there be a connection? Here is the article that I have copied ver batum. Invent By Number: Researchers Predict, Then Produce Superior Titanium Alloys written by Jessica Gorman, SCIENCE NEWS April19, 2003 Vol. 163, No. 16 Ingenious people have produced alloys since ancient times. By trial and error, they mixed metals and other elements until the whole came out better than any component alone. In recent years, some scientists have said that alloy development is a mature field with little room for improvement. This week, however, researchers report a new method for making titanium-based alloys with many qualities far superior to those in any alloys previously known. The team originally intended to develop materials for automobile parts, say Takashi Saito of Toyota Central Research and Development Laboratories in Nagakute, Japan. Instead, he and his coworkers wound up with materials that Saito says are too expensive for mass production in automobiles but have unusual properties suitable for a new generation of precision screws, eyeglass frames, medical devices, sporting goods, and spacecraft parts. The alloys are strong yet unusually elastic, so they can deform more than other alloys and still return to their original shape. Engineers can also readily mold or bend the materials at room temperature into various shapes, a property called superplasticity. The materials also possess two characteristics desirable in machine parts that experience wild fluctuations in temperature, such as those in a spacecraft. While most metals expand with any rise in temperature, the new alloys expand very little between -200 degrees C and -300 degrees C. Moreover, conventional alloys deform different amounts at different temperatures, but the new materials show about the same deformation whether it's -200 degrees C or 300 degrees C. Saito and his coworkers report in the April 19 SCIENCE that they devised calculations with which they can predict what combination of elements would make an alloy with these properties. The researchers determined that a desirable titanium-based alloy must meet three criteria, which they call 'magic numbers', that are based on quantum mechanical calculations reflecting the behavior and arrangement of atoms and electrons. The scientists add that an alloy meeting the criteria must be cold worked, or deformed by compression at room temperature, before it shows the extraordinary properties. So far, Saito and his colleagues have made several titanium-based alloys that fit these criteria and possess the desired properties. The materials all include oxygen, and one, for example, also contains niobium, tantalum, and zirconium. The new alloys' properties are 'remarkable', says Gary Shiflet of the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. In particular, he says, their superplasticity could eliminate the need for expensive machining techniques when shaping titanium alloys into products. Perhaps more importantly, says Shiflet, the new report demonstrates the power of a computational method to predict alloys that never would have been made through trial and error. Now, Shiflet asks whether the magic-numbers approach applies to other important classes of alloys, such as the nickel-based ones. 'We will try it soon,' says Saito. (Inset photo caption: Alloy There. A new titanium-based alloy containing four other elements has a marblelike microstructure after the material is deformed through compression) (End of article) Of course, I do not KNOW that there is any connection. It just sounds a lot like the material that people in 1947 described: They would crumple it up in there hands and then it would return to its original shape. It was very, very sturdy, etc. Also of note is that these new alloys were found by 'magic numbers', a computational method to determine the correct ingredients. To me, that sounds a lot like something that was retro-engineered. Maybe someone out there has better research capabilities to look into this. The appropriateness of chance is astounding. Persephone
  9. Hi, Just a little personal greeting to Transient001 and CAT if they are still reading & posting. Hi guys! What paths has life been leading you down lately? I am all ears (or eyes). Am very excited (and worried) about the "truthful" statis of our world. What happens if the powers that be sell us all out for power-greed? What if those powers that be have stumbled upon every retro-engineered "holy grail" that mankind can conceive of, and decided to keep it to themselves for austensibly security purposes, But the the nature of cloak and dagger has misplaced the keys to humanity's blessing into the exact hands that wish to keep it a secret. For wealth and power, not the betterment of all upon the blue canoe. The right time but the wrong hands...so to speak. And Eisenhower is turning in his grave, wrought with social consciousness, and a longing to have made it all right in the first place. Alas. Is time travel a reality, you bet cha. Are there aliens visiting our world, no doubt about it. They have been with us from the beginning. Do we need to worry about them as hostile invaders? No, the only thing we really need to worry about is what we see in the mirror. Is a renewable energy source, or rather technology, available that could save the devastation of our world, yes. It is a fact. But if we implement such a thing, and our species prospers even better than it does now, where are we gonna put all of the people? So we better start learing to play nice and get along with our neighbors, like good little students. When is humanity going to grow up? How can we cure the ails of dysfunctional gowvernment. And no I am not just referring to the "Axis of Evil" but the illegitimate presidency of Mr. W. Bush. Lawlessness and arogance have never been so skillfully spoonfed to a public as is now occuring on your very own television screen. My soul demands that I speak out in the name of sanity and justice and all that is good about humanity. What now? (It is my motto, but will it come to fruition?) 10. I posted this (above) quite awhile ago and no one has been inspired to follow up. Maybe on such a science oriented forum people aren't familiar with the abstracions of Jackson Pollock. But since then, I was over-joyed to see an article in Scientific American (December 2002 page 116) entitled "Order In Pollock's Chaos" in which Richard P. Taylor did a thorough computor analysis of Pollock's paint-splattered masterpieces and discovered fractal geometry at work! "Computer-assisted analysis of Pollock's paintings reveals that the artist built up layers of paint in a carefully developed technique that created a dense web of fractals". In the article, Taylor compares Pollock's works to other "splatter technique" paintings and finds a discerning difference. His works reflect a basic natural pattern, found in the natural world like in trees. His works portray a statistical self-similarity, not unlike the beautiful fractal images ever-increasingly smaller and intricate designs of mathematics and probablities that have been computor generated since the discovery of the pattern in the chaos of fractals. Fractal understanding has lead to better predictions of weather patterns, better understanding of the universe in general. And to think, an artist, splattering paint upon huge canvases tuned into this in a most natural and elemental way. People for decades have been trying to explain why Pollock's works struck such a true chord, and now we have scientific evidence to know why. They evoke the pattern of life all around us. Beauty. 11. Dear Friend Transient, You are most correct in this declaration. It is a delicate matter indeed. My journeys began in quite a confused and sloppy manner. I became encited to fix the paradox of my life, so to speak. Accomplishing such a manuevre was most compicated and intense, and I spent much effort to effect a recursive spiral, with seven revolutions, until I had reset the track of it. I had help from dear friends. I thank them heartily for that, though I will never be with them again, they will always be in my thoughts of gratitude. You see, I just sort of fell into this state, and I did not intend the journey of which I prevailed. Strange. The appropriateness of chance is astounding. Persephone
  12. I must interject here about dreamstates and the "Realness" of this states. Mankind has the ability to reach other states of reality in dreams. The ancients knew this, and some groups of peoples have retained these truths in their cultures, usually groups that have been isolated from the "Great Religions", the "organized" religions of man, which have sought to intercede betixt individuals and thier conceptions of "god", so as to control civically their loyalties and to increase the power and wealth of of those in the upper hierarchies. This is the history of human civilization, and with it has come organization and improvements, in technology, communication, medicine, mathematics and sciences, etc. But the downside has been the orphanization of man from his spirituality and the inherent power of his thought. So there are upsides and downsides. It is all a journey that we are apart of. But in reference to mankind's ability to reach beyond our physicality in our dreamstates, this is historically evident. And, one can study and be an apprentice to expanding our capabilities in the dreamstate. One can reach a certain vibration of the soul, and go in to the state in which you can travel outside of your body (astral projection) or to simply allow your conscienciousness to "view" the beyond (remote viewing). Works for the present, the future, the past. The boon of it all is controlling it. Or focusing it. Some people are more inclined toward this state than others. Or maybe some are just more open to the ideas of it. I have been "seeing" things all of my life. Like I meet someone, and from a look in their eye or a countenance, I "see" a sad moment of their life, or something they regret doing. I can find people, wherever they are, especially if I am really upset or concerned about them, or have a strong connection to them. It has taken me years and years to understand for one thing that others do not usually have this ability, and another to understand that it freaks people out. So I don't talk about it alot, so I feel weird "seeing" something about the personal life of an acquaintance, things I wish were just there for them to share if they wished, but it isn't. Anyway, dreams can be like that. But also dreams are also just dreams, when our brains organize and "compute" the experiences of our lives, and if we watch them, they can tell us what our subconciousnesses are up to, etc. But, if your have a particularly clear dream, one that has such detail for things that you have never seen, or that speaks to you like a beloved parent from the heart, it's probably more than a simple dream. I have probably said too much..se la ve The appropriateness of chance is astounding. Persephone
  13. Re: What the \"H\" is happening?????!!!!!!! Whoah, I feel a strong mental vibration when reading your post. I have spent some time working on the mental state of adjusting my "sonic" vibrations (I can't think of a better way to describe at the moment, but I am sure there is a better way to describe it), and found out a lot, but also became a bit confused with so much input of knowledge at such a fast rate. It has taken some time and distance for me to get my "normal" perspective back, without losing the memories, without losing the meaning and import. All has been slowly clarified and put into perspective as time goes by! One can really cause a ruckus if you are not prepared, because there are those that will take note. But if your intentions are true and your heart is strong, so to speak, no need to worry. Interesting that you would know the megahertz? How was this measured? 15. Re: Hold that thought In reply to Creedo and Transient, I have been away from the forum for awhile, so now I am going back through and reading the posts...so I may be a bit "out of time" as it were, but please bear with me. In reference to the exaulted music that fills my mind when I remember Handel's Messiah, I must predicate my opinions and expressions of my experiences in hearing this chorus at the morn by saying, I am a skeptical person in reguard to "organized" religions. Many, many wars have been fought and blood spent in the name of "my god is better than your god" or like mindsets, and most are clouded with the foibles of mankind, namely greed, power, politics, etc. But in each one can find the nuggets of truth, the nuggets of inspiration. It is indeed sad that religions and the power of some religions, like at the Vatican, have stored knowledge for centuries and decades that should have been shared with the people of the world in which we inhabit. I think some of you out there know quite well of some of the particulars to which I refer. But, in their defense as well, some of these things are so ground shakingly profound (and possibly apocryphally devastating) that one doesn't have to imagine too far into the future to fear a non-perfect result...So, what it draws to in conclusion, when is the appropriate time to reveal these hidden truths. And, who among us is brave enough to do so. See, there are basic truths and all religions address these notions that we instinctively covet as humans. But, in the mix, all sorts of other more short-sighted concerns of mankind get in the way. So I belive it is our joy and journey to try to learn what we can from all that is available. And to trust our inner-instinct and voices, to the journey of inspiration and nirvana. So when I refer to a glorious communion of voices, that somehow resembles Handel's Messiah, I am refering to something more basic and electric and naturally present than merely a music composition by a genius. It is hearing the same thing that the composer himself heard in writing the piece. It's feeling the same urgency of life and beauty that inspired him to put the best words he could muster to meet the grandiosity of the chords. Morning, sunrise, life alive in love. HARPS IN OUR EARS: the multitude in harmony The appropriateness of chance is astounding. Persephone
